Wondrous Innovation

Wondrous Innovation The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this awesome book is really like an invention itself! The 533 pages are filled with so many mysterious and detailed illustrations that help tell the story. The fine drawings are so beautiful, the innovative way of telling the story is what MT and I enjoyed most.

Really one of a kind! A movie you can hold in your arms! LUV it!!

Heart Attacks

Get Cracking!

What's the connection between them? How could one give inspiration to another? I'm sure BT can answer these questions, with a grin from ear to ear...

Let's get cracking, BT, you know what I mean?

A handful of pistachio nuts a day could help maintain a healthy heart, research suggests. They appear to lower cholesterol, blood pressure and keep arteries healthy.

Are you a Rabbit?

Are you a Rabbit? The Chinese Zodiac, with a history of thousands of years old, is always fascinating and fun to BT and me, especially using it to study people's personality traits. We have always wondered, how did the ancient make it? How did they relate the signs with people's characters? Here's what we have learned about Rabbit.

"Occupying the 4th position in the Chinese Zodiac, the Rabbit symbolizes such character traits as creativity, compassion, and sensitivity. Rabbits are friendly, outgoing and prefer the company of others. They also prefer to avoid conflict. In confrontational situations, Rabbits approach calmly and with consideration for the other party. Rabbits believe strongly in friends and family and lacking such bonds can lead to emotional issues.

Their serene nature keeps Rabbits from becoming visibly upset; their sensitive nature makes them shy away from aggressive or competitive situations. They?re overall conservative and not interested in taking risks. "

It sounds like the Rabbit is really sweet and peaceful. Rabbits are people who were born in 1951, 1963, 1975 and 1987 or 1999.

Are you a Rabbit?

Happy Lunar New Year!!

The fruits on this stamp symbolize good fortune.

Fighting Bacteria!

Fighting Bacteria! After days and nights of strenuous fighting, we won!

The house is noisy again, finally, sunshine comes out...

The otoscope I ordered online to equip myself for being a powerful MT, doesn't it look cool?

Giving Encouragement I can't agree more on Dale Carnegie?s famous saying, ?Abilities wither under criticism; they blossom under encouragement.?

Personally I feel ?criticism? is something far beyond our precious limited time, physical and mental strength could afford.

Think about how many minutes, hours, if it?s not measured by days or even longer, and how many efforts it needs for the parent to explain, clarify, and apologize to the child and for the parent and the child both to recover (100%??) from the invisible damage caused by the consequent disastrous anger, sadness and resentment.

Giving encouragement, based on my observation, is the most effective way to make things done.

Left, part of our reward system, implemented and designed by BT which was aimed to practice self-motivation, self-control and self-management. She is excited and proud of all her earnings!

William Taft

William Taft Project Once in a time long long ago,
There lived William Taft.

He was the twenty-seventh
President of our nation.
The year of nineteen-o-nine
Was his inauguration.
The only reason he ran
Was to please his wife.
Otherwise, he'd never
Have done it in his life.

Once in a time long long ago,
There lived great Big Bill.

President William Taft
Was quite a large guy.
He weighed around 300
Pounds in all, by and by.
He needed a larger bathtub
And ordered a new one.
Big enough to fit four men,
It weighed nearly a ton!

Once in a time long long ago,
There lived a candidate.

In 1908, Taft ran against
William Jennings Bryan.
Taft won by votes
One hundred fifty-nine.
Against Roosevelt and Wilson
Four years after that,
Taft lost to Woodrow Wilson,
Who became president out flat.

Once in a time long long ago,
There lived a president.

As president, William Taft
Established the Department of Labor,
A postal delivery service,
A parcel post, and greater,
He managed the Panama
Canal construction,
And further strengthened the
Interstate Commerce Commission.

Once in a time long long ago,
There lived a man with hobbies.

Baseball was Taft's pastime,
He threw out the first ball,
Thus he started a custom,
But that was not all.
William Taft was a
Good tennis player,
Horseback rider, golfer,
As well as dancer.

Once in a time long long ago,
There lived a great man.

Our 27th president,
Later became a judge,
And loved that position
Many times as much.
A golfer, a dancer,
a tennis player too.
William Howard Taft,
Three cheers for you!

Drive Safely

Look what was in my view this morning! Imagine how I was savoring the sensation of the squashy, squishy, slushy and slippery surface underneath the wheels; it was indeed an adventurous and breathtaking winter fun. Read this before things go funny.

What about Flash?

How about Flash? Sleek GUI
Nice touch
But what about Flash?

That's the first excitement and frustration in 2011. Here's why.

Happy 2011
